Lauren – A little miracle – Vancouver baby and family lifestyle portraits

When Lauren was 6 month old, I was scheduled to shoot some pictures of her. However, the day before the shoot, Lauren’s mom Amanda texted me to say that we’d have to postpone because Lauren was sick. Later that night I received another text from Amanda asking for prayer for Lauren. While in the waiting room of the ER at Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, Lauren’s heart stopped! It turns out Lauren has a rare heart defect.

And it’s only by a miracle that it stopped while in one of the most equipped facilities to take care of Lauren

What happened next, was months in the hospital, with multiple heart surgeries from Lauren, along with stretching, testing, and growing Lauren’s family’s faith and endurance. You can read all her story from her mom here: Focusing on Miracles

Harrison – Vancouver Baby Photography

At the beginning of this year, I shot Maternity and Newborn photos for Bob, Desiree and baby Harrison. On September 1st I shot Harrison’s 6 month photos.
I’ve been friends with Bob and Desiree for a couple years, and it was a pleasure to take their photos again. A big thanks to Bob for being such a big sport, and for giving us a big genuine smile!

Faith (aka Jellybean) – Vancouver baby photography

This is adorable baby Faith and her amazing Mama Amy! Faith was 2 months old when I went over on a hot summer afternoon to take some snap shots of Faith and her life.

From the time she was pregnant with Faith, Amy has been calling her baby girl ‘jellybean’ or ‘bean’, and I think it’s already stuck.

And you can’t forget about Smokie!! Look at those big puppy dog eyes! She’s saying, “Please love me, my mommy has a new baby, and I’m being ignored!” haha!

Hunter’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash – Vancouver Family Photography Session

This was my first cake smash photo session I’ve ever done… and it was SO MUCH FUN!!

My friend Emily over at When Pigs Fly Pastries made us an adorable cake that also tasted amazing! (Mom, Dad and I ate some at the end! haha)
